How can that be harmful, well it is an addiction nevertheless an addiction leads to lack of control of choices and feelings. Messiahs tend to give to others what they do desperately need to receive themselves. What others actually need goes unnoticed because the messiah sees other people’s pain and feels their own. Their wounds are in the tears of others , love is hardly the motivation of someone caught in the messiah trap , the messiah could give their last dime to the poor but not out of care but out of a key for escape, an escape to feeling everyone’s else pain that you don’t stop long enough to feel your own pain.
